The Kawarau Bridge Bungy (bungee) - home to the original 43 metre Bungy Jump. If you've heard of Bungy, you've heard of the Kawarau... it is where Bungy founders AJ Hackett and Henry van Ash started it all.

The world's first and most infamous of leaps is still going strong, with tens of thousands Bungy jumping each year. At the world's best-loved Bungy site, the choice is yours: tandem or solo, then you can decide whether to bob above the water, touch it, or be fully immersed.

What you need to know

Age: Min 10 yrs (Children 15 and under need to be accompanied by an adult) Max 110 yrs
Weight: Min 35kg - Max 235kg
Tandem jumps: Total weight difference must NOT be more than 30kgs.
Self-drive: Allow 1 hour
Clothing requirements: None... completely naked is quite a popular option.

Location & Transportation

Self-Drive (allow 1 hour): Located on SH6 in the Gibbson Valley just 20 minutes from Queenstown and 30min from Cromwell.

Transportation Included (allow 2.5 hours): Transportation is available from the Station Building on the corner of Camp and Shotover Streets in the centre of Queenstown. Trips depart daily at 9.20am, 12.00pm and 2.40pm. Check-in 30 minutes before departure.

The Proof - Your Photos and Video

We capture state of the art photos and video footage for every Bungy jumper so that you can take it home and show off to your mates. Its all bout the bragging rights!

If you wish to take a camera out to the jump platform, or you wish to jump with a camera attached to you, it needs to be safely secured to your person to ensure it cannot be dropped.

Jumping with a camera is entirely at your own risk and ONLY at the discretion of the jump crew. The waiver you sign when checking in fully indemnifies AJHB of any loss or injury associated with you jumping with your camera.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome to come and get amongst the awesome atmosphere.

Our purpose built viewing decks provide a safe, enjoyable area to enjoy the beautiful scenery and experience the phenomenon that is Bungy without your feet leaving the ground.
