Our Taupō Bungy and Swing site is located on the cliffs of the Waikato River, just a short drive from Taupō town centre.

By Car: From the Taupō town centre, it’s only a 5–10 minute drive. Head south on Tongariro Street, then follow Poihipi Road until you reach Huka Falls Road. Look for the signs to Taupō Bungy & Swing. Free parking is available on site.
By Foot or Bike: If you’re staying in central Taupō, you can reach us in around 20–25 minutes on foot, or 10 minutes by bike, following the Great Lake Walkway towards Spa Thermal Park, then connecting to Huka Falls Road.

We recommend checking Google Maps on the day for the quickest route.

If you’re booked for Bungy or Swing, please make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before your booking to check-in.

Taupō Bungy & Swing are located at 202 Spa Road in Taupō – on the North Island of New Zealand. Hop on public transport, hire a campervan, or carpool with some mates. There’s ample parking on-site however you decide to travel. We're open weekdays from 9:30am-4:00pm and until 5pm on weekends.

We know you’re itching to get going, but there are a couple of things we need you to know first.

Risk Disclosure
This activity offers a unique and memorable experience. However, like all adventure experiences it carries an inherent risk that we, as an experienced operator, want to communicate clearly to all participants. See our risk disclosure statement.

Water Touch
So you're keen to touch the water? Water touch is possible at Taupō Bungy, however it's not guaranteed because of factors beyond our control (like the river level).

When you check-in for your activity, let your jump master know you'd like a water touch and they'll see what they can do.

AGE
Minimum 10 years old. Those 14 and under require an adult to sign consent at check-in.

WEIGHT
Minimum 35kgs to 140kgs. The maximum combined weight for tandem bungy is 180kg. The weight difference between tandem jumpers must not exceed 30kg.

DURATION
1 hour

Clothing
Wear comfortable clothing and secure shoes. Winter can get very cold, so we recommend layering up and taking a jacket.

We invented safe!
We have been throwing people off things since 1988 and we are very proud of our impeccable safety record. With AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand, you jump with the most experienced bungy company in the world.

Tell your Bungy Crew if you have high or low blood pressure, heart conditions, epilepsy, broken or fractured bones/dislocations, fragile skin, neurological disorders, diabetes, asthma, prosthetics, panic/anxiety attacks or any recent sprains/muscular injuries.

Unfortunately, we can't permit anyone who is pregnant, or those with photosensitive epilepsy, to jump. And if you have osteoporosis, scoliosis or a recent concussion, we'll need to see a doctor's certificate.

Wear glasses for safety reasons? They may not be able to be worn. However, prescriptions safety glasses are available free of charge. You can check out more stuff about safety here.
