The Kawarau Bungy Centre is located on State Highway 6 at the Kawarau Bridge, about halfway between Queenstown and Cromwell.

From Queenstown there are two main routes:

From Queenstown: It’s around a 25-minute drive (23 km) via State Highway 6.
From Cromwell: Allow around 30 minutes (27 km) via State Highway 6.
Parking: Free parking is available onsite for visitors.

We recommend checking Google Maps on the day for the most accurate travel times. Please allow extra time during busy holiday periods.

If you’re booked for Bungy, Swing, or Zipride, make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled check-in time.

Kawarau Bungy Centre is located at the Kawarau Bungy Centre, State Highway #6 (SH6), Gibbston Valley, Queenstown.
We are open daily from 9:30am to 4:00pm (closed Xmas Day)

The Zipride Bus departs from the Queenstown Bungy Centre, Corner of Shotover & Camp Streets, Queenstown.
Buses depart daily at 10:00am.

We know you're itching to get going, but there are a couple of things we need you to know first.

Risk Disclosure
This activity offers a unique and memorable experience. However, like all adventure experiences it carries an inherent risk that we, as an experienced operator, want to communicate clearly to all participants. See our risk disclosure statement.

AGE
Minimum 8 years old. Children 8 and 9 years old must ride tandem with an adult (age 20+). Children 14 and under require an adult to sign their consent at check-in.

WEIGHT
Between 30kg to 150kg either solo or tandem.

DURATION
Self-drive: Allow 1.5 hours
Bungy Bus: Allow 3.5 hours

Clothing
Please ensure you wear flat, secure and enclosed footwear. Winter can get very cold, so we recommend layering-up and taking a jacket.

It is free for spectators to check out Zipriding or Bungy Jumping and get amongst the awesome atmosphere at the Kawarau Bungy Centre. If you require transport, then you are welcome to use our Bungy Bus, which departs from the Queenstown Bungy Centre, located in 'The Station' building in the centre of Queenstown. Bookings are essential and it is free. View map.

We have been throwing people off things since 1988 and we are very proud of our impeccable safety record. When you Zipride with AJ Hackett Bungy, you Zip with the most experienced Bungy company in the world.

Tell our Crew if you have high or low blood pressure, heart conditions, epilepsy, broken or fractured bones/dislocations, fragile skin, neurological disorders, diabetes, asthma, prosthetics, panic/anxiety attacks or any recent sprains/muscular injuries.

Unfortunately, we can't permit anyone who is pregnant, or those with photosensitive epilepsy, to partake. And if you have osteoporosis, scoliosis or a recent concussion, we'll need to see a doctor's certificate.

Wear glasses for safety reasons? They may not be able to be worn. However, prescriptions safety glasses are available free of charge. You can check out more stuff about safety here.
