Dawn

Kia ora e te whaanau. My name is Dawn Rennie, a descendant to the tribes Ngaati Maniapoto, Ngaati Whaatua o Kaipara.

My first experience with anything bungy was on my birthday in 2018 and it changed my whole life. The crew were so calming and took my mind off of the fact I had to push myself off the edge of a cliff! From that point on, I knew I wanted to immerse myself in their environment! I love that I have the privilege to show different walks of life on our unique site, showcasing the views I get to witness on a daily basis. I started my journey in 2019, in the office signing up customers. The first kanohi (face) they see before they live more and fear less. As well as the first I am their last interaction, to get their experience of the jump.

My teammates are one of the main reasons why I love coming to work, they have seen me grow and have always encouraged me to be at my best. From working in the front office, I have grown and broadened my skill set within the Taupo Bungy workplace. Having the ability to calm customers, mustering up their courage to do something they will never forget. Seeing people with incredible feelings of satisfaction.

In 2022 I joined the Creator Programme. Being a content creator, it gives me the chance to showcase how beautiful our site, our workplace culture, and our customers are. I love interacting with the different cultures that walk into our site, encouraging them to live more and fear less. The best part of working at an adrenaline site like this, is seeing people’s reaction to the jump, watching that fear turn into excitement!
