Experience the Nevis Playground with your feet on the ground. Hop on our Bungy Bus for a 40 minute scenic drive all the way to the Nevis Playground. When you hear the screams you’ll know you’ve arrived. The Nevis Playground is home to the World Famous Nevis Swing, the World’s First Human Catapult, and Australasia’s Highest Bungy. You’ll get up close and personal with it all – so much so, you might just decide to give it a go (no pressure)! At $50 per person (and FREE for kids up to 10 years old) it’s a hell of a day out for the price of your airport taxi.

  • IMPORTANT

    Experience

Experience all the thrill without the fear. You’ll be able to walk out to the Catapult & Swing pod 70m over the Nevis Valley and be right amongst the action! Take a ride out to the Nevis Bungy pod and get a dose of adrenaline as you watch people live more & fear less as they take on Australasia’s highest Bungy Jump at 134m. Even if you have a fear of heights, there are viewing decks located by the main building which overlook it all so you can still take in all the action – from a distance.

    Duration

Your experience will take about 4 hours round-trip.

    Restrictions

Spectators need to be at least 5 years old (or fit into a Bungy harness) to travel to the Bungy pod to meet our safety guidelines. If you’re unsure, live chat with us now and we’ll help you out. Spectators are required to wear close-toed, lace-up shoes so leave the jandals at home.

    Location

The Nevis Playground is located at a remote site about 40 minutes drive from Queenstown, in the heart of beautiful Central Otago. It’s great for all ages – including families. Chill out on the bean bags, enjoy the music, and play some outdoor games in between viewing. We have a small selection of retail offerings available as well as bathroom facilities.

The site is also fully accessible for spectators, with wheelchairs able to be facilitated on both pods. We may need to use our own slim-line wheelchair rather than your own, but we can talk through that at the time of booking.
  • PHOTO & VIDEO
We don’t photograph the spectator experience so we highly recommend bringing a phone, camera, or GoPro with you. Keep in mind, bringing these items with you is at your own risk. You may decide to travel out to the Bungy, Swing & Catapult pods, so it’s a good idea to have your device attached to your wrist.
  • SAFETY

    SAFE?

For getting up close to the action, Bungy spectators get to enjoy the thrill of our custom engineered shuttle ride, that sweeps you from solid ground and onto our Bungy pod. As safety is our number one priority, spectators will be securely fitted with a full body harness, in order to remain safe & comfortable at all times.
