Auckland Harbour Bridge Experiences.
Now it's home to two of New Zealand's most unique adventure experiences - a bungy jump from a pod suspended beneath the bridge arch, and a fully guided climb to the summit 64 metres above the Waitematā Harbour. Both are located at Westhaven Marina, just five minutes from Auckland CBD.
The Auckland Harbour Bridge Experience is more than just a jump. Whether you're going over the edge or climbing to the top, you're getting an angle on one of NZ’s most recognisable structures. Spectators are welcome too - the viewing pod puts you right next to the action, 40 metres above the harbour.
The Auckland Harbour Bridge opened in 1959 and spans 1,020 metres across the Waitematā Harbour, connecting Auckland's CBD to the North Shore. It carries over 170,000 vehicles per day, making it one of the busiest bridges in New Zealand and one of the country's most critical pieces of infrastructure.
What most people don't know is that the bridge has a secret life underneath. AJ Hackett's Bungy Pod is attached to the central arch - a purpose-built platform that puts jumpers 40 metres directly above the harbour. It's the only place in New Zealand or Australia where a commercial bungy jump ends with the possibility of touching the ocean.
The Bridge Climb takes a different route - through the internal structure of the arch and up to the summit via custom-engineered walkways. From the top, you get an unobstructed 360-degree view across the Waitematā Harbour, the Hauraki Gulf, Rangitoto Island, and back across the Auckland skyline. It's a perspective the bridge's designers never imagined would become a tourist attraction.

You don't have to jump or climb to have a great experience at the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Non-jumpers can accompany jumpers out to the Bungy Pod on a purpose-built viewing platform - getting as close to a commercial bungy jump as you can without actually doing it. Cost: $20 per person.
The Auckland Harbour Bridge Experience is a popular group activity - hen's parties, corporate team days, school trips, and birthday groups are all regulars. For groups of 10 or more, contact us at [email protected] or call 0800 286 4958 for a dedicated group quote and support. Individual bookings of fewer than 10 can be made at bungy.co.nz.
