AJ Hackett Bungy Appoints New CEO

 Queenstown, New Zealand21 December 2011 – AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand is pleased to announce the appointment of their new CEO – David Mitchell. David, originally from Christchurch, comes to Bungy from an Applied Technology and Management company where he worked in Dubai as the Managing Director of their Middle Eastern Operations. David is qualified with Engineering and Business degrees and will bring a wealth of experience in project management, competitive strategy and targeted growth to his new role at AJ Hackett Bungy.

Bungy co-founder Henry van Asch said, “David will help strengthen and lead the current management team and will play a crucial role in advancing AJ Hackett Bungy as a leader in adventure tourism and innovation. David is excited to be joining the team and looks forward to meeting the crew and all of the industry partners who have helped build this company into a kiwi icon with an amazing international reputation.”

David’s tenure at Bungy will officially commence on February 7th 2012. Henry van Asch will be showing him the ropes (or cords so to speak) and giving him a thorough introduction into the Bungy culture. Henry has assured David that “five days in the raft at the Kawarau Bridge will be the best way for him to gain an understanding of our valued customers and an opportunity to talk with many of our great crew!”

As a keen sportsman with very strong family ties to Queenstown, David, his wife and two young daughters are really looking forward to getting back to this great place. The team at AJ Hackett Bungy are excited to welcome David and begin this new chapter in the story of Bungy.
