AJ Hackett Bungy's Christchurch Earthquake Appeal Fundraising Week

Queenstown, New Zealand10 March 2011 – AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand is holding a Fundraising Week in support of the Red Cross Earthquake Appeal from Friday 11th March through Friday 18th March.

To kick things off for the week the crew will be donating their time to the relief fund. Each crew member will decide on an individual basis how many hours of work they would like to offer and this will be taken directly from their pay cheques.

The main focus of our fundraising will be the donation of all proceeds from 2nd Jumps and 2nd Swings across our four sites. That includes 2nd jumps at the Kawarau Bridge Bungy, Nevis Bungy, Ledge Bungy and the Auckland Bridge Bungy, and 2nd swings at the Nevis Arc and the Ledge Swing. Yep, you heard right! Jump or swing a second time and you’ll be helping out our friends in Christchurch.

''During times like these we come to realise the nature of true kiwi spirit. As an iconic company in New Zealand we are proud to have this opportunity to support our friends in Christchurch. The passion that our crew have shown in wanting to do something to help has been awesome,'' said Bungy New Zealand Group CEO, Michelle Trapski.

Red Cross collection tins will also be placed at all AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand sites for the collection of additional monetary donations.

The devastation in Christchurch has had an impact on people from all over the country and the Crew at AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand wish to express our sincerest sympathies and show our support. So… we’re jumping, we’re swinging and we’re working for you! Kia Kaha Christchurch!
